Helena Herrera Rentería

Tax Director

Helena Herrera is a tax specialist with more than 15 years of experience in corporate and international taxation. She holds a degree in Public Accounting and Financial Strategy from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), as well as a diploma in the Creation and Operation of Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds from Universidad Anáhuac del Sur.

Prior to joining FibraSOMA, Helena was part of EY Mexico’s International Tax and Transaction Services practice, where she advised domestic and international companies on tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and international restructurings. Her experience has been particularly focused on the real estate, hospitality, and construction sectors, as well as private equity funds and institutional investors.

Throughout her career, she has participated in public offerings of FIBRAs, CKDs, and CERPIs; the structuring of public and private investment vehicles; and acquisition and due diligence processes, including the tax analysis of financial models. This experience enables her to integrate a tax perspective into strategic business decisions, taking into account both their financial implications and long-term objectives.

As Tax Director of FibraSOMA, Helena contributes to the tax analysis of the FIBRA’s investment, development, and financing decisions and supports compliance with the applicable tax framework. Her work is focused on fostering efficient, disciplined, and transparent operations while aligning the tax strategy with the creation of sustainable value for investors.
